This Privacy Policy describes how TourneyBit LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use event.coffee (the "Service") to organize, promote, and purchase tickets for events. event.coffee is a product of TourneyBit LLC.

We collect information from both event organizers and event attendees.

For Event Organizers:

  • Email Address: We collect your email address when you create a new event. This email address is essential for payment, account management, and communication regarding your events and attendees.
  • Event Information: We collect and store all the information you provide about your events, including dates, times, locations, addresses, and descriptions.

For Event Attendees:

  • Email Address: We collect and store your email address when you sign up and purchase tickets to an event. This allows us to send you your tickets and allows the event organizer to share important updates concerning the event.
  • Opt-in to Share with the Event Organizer: During the ticket purchase process, you will be given a clear option to share your email address with the event organizer for marketing updates. If you do not opt-in, your email address will be masked to the organizer and they will not be able to share marketing updates directly with you. The organizer may still email you event updates via event.coffee, without direct access to your individual email address.

Information Collected by Stripe:

  • Payment Information: When you create an event, our payment processor, Stripe, will collect your payment information, including your credit or debit card number, expiration date, and CVC code. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
  • Payment Information for Tickets: When you purchase tickets from an event organizer using Stripe, Stripe will collect and process payment information to fulfill the transaction.
  • Email Address: Stripe will also collect your email address to process the payment and send you a receipt for your transaction. Stripe's use of your information is governed by their own privacy policy, which you can review here: https://stripe.com/privacy

Information Collected by PayPal:

  • Payment Information: When you purchase tickets from an event organizer using Venmo, PayPal will collect and process payment information to fulfill the transaction via Venmo.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To Provide and Manage the Service: To enable event organizers to create and manage their events, and for attendees to purchase tickets and receive information about the events they are attending.
  • To Communicate with You: To send transactional emails, such as ticket confirmations and event updates. If you are an event organizer, we may also send you administrative and service-related announcements.
  • To Facilitate a Connection Between Attendees and Organizers: For attendees who opt-in, we share your email address with the event organizer to allow them to communicate with you directly about the event.
  • For Security and Fraud Prevention: To protect the security and integrity of our Service and to prevent fraudulent transactions.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We will only share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With Event Organizers (with your consent): We will share your email address with the event organizer only if you have explicitly opted in to this sharing during the ticket purchasing process.
  • With Our Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party vendors and service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as web hosting, data analysis, and customer service. These third parties are obligated to protect your information and are not authorized to use your information for their own purposes.
  • With Stripe for Payment Processing: As mentioned, your payment information and email address are provided directly to Stripe to process your transaction.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if we are required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, or in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public.

4. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access and Update Your Information: Event organizers can review and update their event and other information via the event admin link presented after checkout and in their payment receipt email.
  • Opt-Out of Sharing with Organizers: Event attendees can choose not to have their email address shared with the event organizer at the time of ticket purchase.
  • Email Communications: You can opt out of receiving promotional emails from us by following the unsubscribe link in those emails. Please note that you will still receive transactional emails related to your account and events.
  • Access to Your Data: You may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Deletion of Your Data: You may have the right to request that we delete your personal information.

5. Data Retention

We will retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to provide the Service to you and to comply with our legal obligations.
